Virtual Solo Exhibition
Inspired
by the oeuvres of American and European artists, Romanian artist Monica
Patrui has made art for decades. She creates abstract works, nudes,
figurative paintings, pop-art compositions with soft brushstrokes that
she uses on different surfaces: canvas, wood, paper.

Gallery 5'14 is pleased to present the exhibition showing the winners
and a curated selection of the best entries from the 3rd edition of the
photo competition, this time dedicated to the subject of the TRAVELER.
The
competition was a challenge for us due to the difficulties encountered
by the pandemic and that in some countries it was not possible to
travel.

The
artists use their tools with which the abstract works presented have
been generated. However, an abstract image does not tell a story but
shows passion,
An abstract artwork does not tell a story but shows
passion, meditation and imagination. When we see an abstract work, we do
not see an image, we see the artist reflected. Abstract art provides
the viewers with an emotional experience, being completely different for
each individual.

OCEAN Photography Exhibition

We
are delighted to confirm that the Ocean Photography Exhibition will
take place at the Image Collective Gallery located in the Ocean
Terminal, Edinburgh, Scotland 1-30 June 2021.
You will have the
opportunity to see the winning images of our Ocean Photo Contest. The
winners were chosen by a professional jury of photographers, art
critics, and art curators. There was also one image selected as winner
of public vote on Art Gallery 5’14’ social media. Artists presented at
the exhibition are from four different continents; Asia, America, Africa
and Europe and through their photographs show what moves them in their
search for imagery in a most personal and diverse approach.

Brut Carniollus: Series Metropolis

Original digital images are created by digitally collaging several photographs harvested in cities around the world. The resulting artwork represent artist (quite so often surreal) impression of urbanity while at the same time offering a level of recognisable details helping a viewer to re-place the final image into a real world, even though not all elements originate from the same place or time. In this series artist combines his own photographs with open sourced imagery from various sources, like deviantArt, Unsplash and several public libraries.
