The Spirit of carnival

This painting was completed during the long winter lockdown of 2021. The inspiration came from trying to lighten up the mundane dark days by decorating my bedroom with handmade exotic masks and filling the area with house plants and travel books. Once I managed to surround myself with items inspiring other cultures, I decided to put the idea into an actual painting.
