Can anyone sell on Art Gallery 5’14?
If you are at least 18 years of age you can sell your Original Artwork, Limited Edition Prints or Open Edition Prints on Art Gallery 5’14.
How to get started?
First you will need to create an Artist Account, complete a form and upload a government-issued photo ID like passport or driver’s license. Identity verification may take up to 24 business hours. Once you are approved, you may begin uploading artwork to the website. You can upload an unlimited amount of your artworks. We recommend that you upload each of your artworks different viewpoints, the images should be high quality. The artwork gets activated on the website after approval by our curation team.
Why do you ask me for my government-issued photo ID?
It is necessary to prevent fraud and provide the best and a more secure experience for sellers and buyers.
Is there an application fee?
No. Registration is absolutely free. There are no start-up, listing or monthly fees.
What kind of artwork can I sell on Art Gallery 5’14?
You can post different types of original works: paintings, drawings, photographs, printmaking, sculptures, collages, etc. There will be art in every genre, style and size.
What is your commission on the sale of my artwork?
Art Gallery 5’14 charges a commission of 30% on the original artwork and a commission of 40% on every printed artwork you sell on our website. Profit of printed art is calculated from the final sale price minus the costs of producing the print.
Can I sell prints?
Yes, you can make Open Edition prints available in addition to or instead of selling the Original artwork. The prints will be generated, printed, and shipped by Art Gallery 5’14. Refer to the tables to see the print and pixel sizes for all types of Open Edition Prints.
We require that all images are shot directly from the center of the image and cropped to the borders. Upload quality images that are in focus, true to the color of the art, and at least 1200 pixels wide. Our team will review each artwork submission for image and content quality. Do I have to be exclusive to Art Gallery 5’14?
Our artists do not have to be exclusive to Art Gallery 5’14, but you are responsible for the availability of the artworks you offer for sale and we kindly ask you not to publish the artwork in another venue at a lower price.
Does Art Gallery 5’14 sell framed artwork?
We prefer to sell artwork unframed since our clients tend to like framing their purchases themselves.
How do I know when my artwork is sold? What do I do once it is sold?
Once your art is sold, you will receive an email notification about the sale. We will arrange for a courier to collect the sold artwork from your location and we will ask you to package the art securely for shipping. You pay for packing of your artwork. Learn more on How to pack your artwork.
Who pays for shipping the artwork to the Buyer?
The shipping costs are incurred by the buyer.
Do you have shipping insurance?
Art Gallery 5’14 insures all shipment for the amount of the artists’ commission for the sold work. Should an artwork arrive damaged due to poor packaging, we will deem the shipment non-insurable and we will hold the artist responsible for the damages.
What is Art Gallery 5’14’s return policy?
We offer a fourteen-day (14) money-back guarantee so that clients can try out artwork in their homes. If a piece gets returned, the buyer will pay for shipping the artwork back to you. Our money-back guarantee is NOT applicable to prints and photographs.
When and how do I get paid once my art is sold?
We pay artists by PayPal or bank wire transfer fifteen (15) days after an artwork is delivered to the client.
Do I need to sign my artwork?
All art should be signed. It is important to identify you as the creator. In addition, many collectors prefer to purchase signed artwork. All artworks for sale on Art Gallery 5’14 come with a Certificate of Authenticity that is signed by the artist. All limited editions (photographs, prints) are numbered and signed by the artist.
Who owns the rights to my artwork once it is sold?
You retain the rights to your art after it is sold.
Where is Art Gallery 5’14 based?
We have an office in Ljubljana, Slovenia, but we are an online art platform.
How will you market my art?
We promote our artists’ work in a number of ways. We have a large email list, manage an advertising campaign, Instagram, LinkedIn account and a Facebook page. We market your work at hotels, corporates, Art Fairs, PR events, through online advertising.
